Missed Train – Dragon Tattoo Dream 22-09-2026
Here is this morning's dream which is interesting given what I was writing about yesterday.
Word count = 580

The dream starts with me making an on line booking for a package which includes a return train ticket and a match ticket for a Wales versus All Blacks rugby match to be held at a small stadium in Cardigan Bay just north of Aberystwyth. It is a one off invitation match. The reservation goes well and is successful.
The next day I arrive at a London railway station it is somehow between Paddington and Euston in term of compass, north-west. It is very modern and airy and of a size similar to Reading station. When I get to the platform there are bunches of men in Wales supporters red. In the dream I am able bodied. There is a grouping from London Welsh. Some of the groups are singing a little, they have already cracked open some beers.
I go into the ticket office and say to the man there that I have a reservation. He asks if I have a receipt.
“No, but my name should be on the list.”
He looks down onto a piece of white A4 paper and my name is top of a short list with a few names. My name is hand written in ink. He points his pencil at it and then reaches down into a drawer to find my named envelope which contains my tickets. As I inspect these a train pulls into the platform and then quickly departs backwards by reversing. It is before the due time. The men on the platform are gesticulating at it.
I move on to the platform. A new brightly lit train pulls in. I go to open the door by pressing the illuminated open button. Nothing happens. I cannot open the door. I try the doors on serval different carriages. Others have boarded the train.
The train pulls out of the station forward and then backs up. I try the doors for first class. I try other doors. No matter what I try no door will open for me. The train moves off towards Wales. I am left alone on the platform
I go back into the ticket office and explain to the man at the desk. He does not apologise even though he has seen what has happened. He says that another train will be along in half an hour. I explain to him that this particular train was a one off, the only one going to the place where the rugby match is. He says that I should be able to get a taxi from the other terminus to the game. He does not understand life outside London. He does not care or give a shit.
I then walk into the male toilets on the platform and in front of a mirror I lift my red Wales t-shirt. On the left side of my chest is a mobile tattoo of the green front leg of a dragon. I can see its claws/nails just below my pectoral. The hand is flexing and gripping me like a cat kneads a cushion. I can sense that my whole back is covered in a lithe and animated tattoo of a racing-green oriental dragon. Its right leg is holding on to my right shoulder and kneading it in a similar manner. The body is moving in a s shaped wave around and up and down my spine. The dragon is both on me and a part of me. As I am typing I can feel the dragon.
The dream ends.
