The Owls are not what they seem

Not everything in this world makes rational sense no matter how hard we may wish it so to do. Here in France I have found that the “avoir raison” orientation can give rise to does not compute (DNC) events on a few occasions. Things do not meet the linguistic framework. There is an observable glitch in thinking.
I am surprised at how differently people think. To the extent I sometimes find it easier for people to speak with me in French because then I am interpreting things through a French mentality, if they stray into English it can come out weird. The mentality and the language do not gel. I have a glitch.
Some people are so heavily oriented in wanting to be right and winning the argument that they are incapable of thinking. The desire to be right makes them dogmatic and intransigent. It prevents them from learning. I am not bothered about who can piss highest up the wall, I have a dodgy prostate now. Other people want badly to prevail in argument.
There remains the unexplainable, the feelings and the intuition which are not subject to the comparative laws of rationality. Rationality is all about ratio. It says so on the tin. When there is nothing to compare with it is impossible to be rational aside from admitting defeat in ability to scale and relate.
People have their own private totems and mascots which mean much to them. The meaning for these may have an overt narration and a private inner one. Things may not be entirely as they seem, despite what we profess.
If you live only in a face value world then you are a bit of an automaton.

The hidden, the occult, the essence may be occluded by the face value presentation. Life is dead letter and literal. There is never a reading between the lines.
If you interpret your life as a dream using dreaming symbols a whole new layer might be perceived. If you insist that such a thing is a waste of time without trying it, you have experimentally demonstrated dogmatic closed mind. There are many who might describe a wine without tasting it. They may not drink a Malvinas Malbec on principle.
I like to try to keep a more open mind, these days.

We each of us have our own cups of tea. Things we like and believe in and things which we don’t like, have an aversion for and might be prejudiced against. Our curiosity might only go so far.
The acid test for someone who professes disbelief in the supernatural would be for them to put their money where their mouth is and spend a night alone in a haunted house. No matter the adamant nature of their insistence a spare pair of trousers might be an advisable pack.
If you are hearing voices or getting vivid dreams, that could be psychosis or spiritual guidance.
Things may not be as they seem.
You could say that I am a morning owl. In that my favourite time of day is the pre-dawn. I am not a night owl. Many of my more profound experiences have been around dawn, sometimes upon mountain tops. I am a dawn owl.
Being fixated at the face value people can miss many things and fail to fathom any depths which may be.
People can be so very certain that they understand and yet be inaccurate. There is no way that you can convince them of their inaccuracy.
There is little point in trying.
